Our unique sound and energy
Korvin Orkestar stands out because our music isn’t treated as a novelty. We approach it with deep respect for the traditions of Balkan and Romani brass music, committing to the physical, communal energy that defines these styles. We lean into live sound, breath, and rhythm, never relying on amplification tricks or backing tracks. What you hear is what’s truly happening in the moment.
Korvin Orkestar brings together a group of musicians with distinct voices, centered around brass, percussion, zurna, and vocals.
Char Rothschild leads on trumpet and zurna, with expressive ornamentation rooted in Turkish and Romani traditions. Willa Roberts brings years of vocal experience, adding depth and connection.
Max Kluger Bell (tapan) and Nick Koontz (snare) drive the rhythm, Alan Kapulski (sousaphone) anchors the low end, and Bruce Lettelier (trumpet) and Bryant Lettelier (trombone) round out the brass.
Together, the group blends discipline and spontaneity, creating a sound that feels alive and immediate.
